Francisco Lim was born and raised in Southern California. He is the product of LAUSD schools. Upon completion of high school, he entered St. John Seminary College. At the seminary, he majored in Philosophy and English with a minor in Theology and Religious Studies. After discernment, he felt that he was not called to the priesthood and withdrew from the seminary. He was given an opportunity to work at St. Mary Magdalen / Holy Spirit School in Los Angeles as the technology instructor. After one year, he became the 7th grade teacher in a self contained classroom. During this time, he attended Loyola Marymount University for his Master in Education and credential. After nine years at St. Mary Magdalen / Holy Spirit School, he joined the faculty at St. John Chrysostom School. He worked as the Math instructor for three years and then became a full time vice principal for two years.
