John Rojas

Principal: Our Lady of Talpa School, Los Angeles

Mentor Principal from 2023-Present

John is a proud product of Catholic education, having attended Our Lady of Guadalupe School in East Los Angeles, Loyola High School, and Loyola Marymount University for his graduate studies. After graduating from the University of California Riverside, he had the pleasure of working at St. Philip the Apostle School teaching physical education for 2 years. His time at St. Philip made him realize how much he wanted to teach in the classroom. Therefore, he made the transition to teaching at Our Lady of Talpa School in 2008, with the idea of teaching for only two years to give back to Catholic education as it had given him so much.

He immediately fell in love working with the Daughters of Charity who operate Our Lady of Talpa. Their dedication to serving Jesus by ministering to children in need became his life's calling.  He served eight years as a junior high teacher, and in 2017 he became principal. He is thrilled to be able to assist a resident principal as they begin their journey into the ministry of administration.

John is most proud of being the son of John and Blanca Rojas, the husband to Miriam Rojas, and daddy to Timothy and Jude.
