Rhonda was raised in a home that was deeply rooted in faith and who had a strong belief in the value of education. She received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Human Services and later went on to earn a Masters Degree in Education from the University of Phoenix. Rhonda began her career in education at St. Matthias in Downey, California and later taught at St. Louise De Marillac and was a substitute teacher in the Lowell Joint School District in Whittier, California.

Her current ministry at San Gabriel Mission Elementary started in 2014, when she began as the Jr. High ELA teacher. Rhonda then transitioned into the primary grades as the 2nd grade teacher until San Gabriel Mission Elementary School became part of the STEM Network; she then became the Kindergarten-2nd grade Humanities teacher. Additionally, during her time at San Gabriel Mission Elementary School, she was the Sacramental Preparation Coordinator, cheerleading coach and dance instructor, the staff representative on the Parent Teacher Advisory Committee, and the Kindergarten-2nd grade Lead Teacher. All of these roles and growth opportunities have shaped Rhonda into a capable leader.
