Dr. Augustina Vasquez

Augustina Vasquez grew up in Huntington Park and Los Angeles, California, and celebrated her First Communion and Confirmation at Saint Martha’s Parish in Huntington Park. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in English and a Master’s degree in Education from California State University, Los Angeles, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education degree at the University of Phoenix.

With approximately eight years of teaching experience in first and second grades, she most recently served as a teacher at Saint Cecilia School in Los Angeles. In addition to her role in the classroom, Augustina has worked as the STEP Coordinator and served as a decathlon coach this past school year. She has also participated in a WASC accreditation team and has been an active member of the Thinker Tank Community for five years — a group dedicated to inspiring teachers to use creative thinking and innovation through STEM education.
