Agustina Vasquez grew up in Huntington Park and Los Angeles, California, and celebrated her First Communion and Confirmation at Saint Martha’s Parish in Huntington Park. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in English and a Master’s degree in Education from California State University, Los Angeles. She received her Doctor of Education degree from the University of Phoenix.
With approximately eight years of teaching experience in first and second grades, she most recently served as a teacher at Saint Cecilia School in Los Angeles. In addition to her role in the classroom, Agustina has worked as the STEP Coordinator and served as a decathlon coach this past school year. She has also participated in a WASC accreditation team and has been an active member of the Thinker Tank Community for five years — a group dedicated to inspiring teachers to use creative thinking and innovation through STEM education.
